Bill Anderson, USPTA – Tennis Director

IMG_6218Bill Anderson comes to us from TPC Sugarloaf where he held the position of Head Professional.  Bill began teaching at age 15 in Hickory, North Carolina, where he grew up.  He excelled in the junior ranks and then went on to play NCAA Division 1 tennis at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he finished his career at #1 singles and doubles.  Bill’s full time teaching experience began as an Assistant Professional at TPC Sugarloaf from 2000-2002, he then headed to Windward Lake Club to become the Head Professional and Co-Director of Windward Tennis Academy.  In 2007, he returned to TPC Sugarloaf as the Head Professional.  Bill’s past responsibilities have put him in charge of all aspects of a complete tennis program, from leader of Beginning Juniors and Adults, to the head of Adult Programs and a Co-Developer of a very successful junior academy. In his 10 year career in Atlanta he has been nominated 5 times for awards by the Georgia Professional Tennis Association and recently won the Head Pro of the Year Award in 2009.

Frank Solana

The Fields Club would like to welcome its newest Associate Tennis Professional, Frank Solana.  Frank has 10 years of coaching experience.   He has coached all levels, both adults and juniors.  Frank coordinated a multi-level junior program, Solana Tennis Academy out of The Club at Edgewater in Lawrenceville, focused on beginner development and training of high level tournament players. Frank has extensive knowledge of Country Club duties and responsibilities.  Accomplishments in his playing career include a tennis scholarship to Jefferson State College in Birmingham, Alabama and traveling the Professional Tour competing in Mexico and the Unites States. In 2005, Frank achieved the #1 ranking in USTA Georgia and Southern Men’s Open Divisions.  He was a AA-1 City Champion in Spring 2008 and 2009. Frank also became the 2009 USTA 5.0 State Champion and Sectional Runner-up. Most recently Frank won the USTA City championship and is striving to become National Champion.
Frank will bring great personality and expertise to the Fields Club in all facets.  He will be a major part of the adult and junior programs.  His knowledge of doubles at the adult level, and passion for teaching juniors of all ages and levels, especially tournament players, will prove valuable to the overall success of the program.
