Bill Anderson, USPTA – Tennis Director

IMG_6218Bill Anderson comes to us from TPC Sugarloaf where he held the position of Head Professional.  Bill began teaching at age 15 in Hickory, North Carolina, where he grew up.  He excelled in the junior ranks and then went on to play NCAA Division 1 tennis at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he finished his career at #1 singles and doubles.  Bill’s full time teaching experience began as an Assistant Professional at TPC Sugarloaf from 2000-2002, he then headed to Windward Lake Club to become the Head Professional and Co-Director of Windward Tennis Academy.  In 2007, he returned to TPC Sugarloaf as the Head Professional.  Bill’s past responsibilities have put him in charge of all aspects of a complete tennis program, from leader of Beginning Juniors and Adults, to the head of Adult Programs and a Co-Developer of a very successful junior academy. In his 10 year career in Atlanta he has been nominated 5 times for awards by the Georgia Professional Tennis Association and recently won the Head Pro of the Year Award in 2009.  Bill was also nominated as Director of the Year-Large Facility in 2011 and will be serving as 2nd Vice President for the United States Professional Tennis Association-GA Chapter in 2012.
