CLUB AMENITY REVIEW AND PLANNING COMMITTEES
The recent club survey was tremendously successful. The Fields Board appreciates the input that you supplied on our current programs and your suggestions for improvements. Much of the response involved your interest in new or improved amenities. To that end, the Fields Board would like to act on your suggestions quickly and yet responsibly.
To ensure that any capital investments are right for the Fields Club, we need your further involvement and direction. We have formed five volunteer committees, each looking at a different amenity area within the club. The committees will review the suggestions made through the survey, examine the costs associated with various options, look at alternatives and make a recommendation back to the Fields Board in terms of a one to three year plan. Each committee will be headed by a Board member and open to all Fields Club members. The Fields Board is targeting a response within 30 to 60 days to ensure that we can roll out your plans as soon as possible. This is your opportunity to make the changes in the Fields Club that you want to happen.
The following are the five amenity committees.
- Playground Committee - This group will make recommendations concerning the current playgrounds at Riverfield and Amberfield with regards to changes and new playsets (Riverfield).
- Pool Committee - This group will make recommendations concerning the pool decks at Riverfield and Amberfield. They will review the current facilities and make recommendations concerning slides, new baby pools, diving boards, grills at the pools, furniture, and shade covers.
- Clubhouse Committee - This group will look at the current clubhouse at Riverfield and Pool house at Amberfield and make current and long range suggestions for improvements, expansion or possible replacement.
- Park Committee - This group will make recommendations concerning the Riverfield Park and ballfield. They will be responsible for developing a plan to incorporate river paths, running paths, dog walks, the ball field, batting cages, a volleyball court and other amenities affecting the area.
- Fire Court Committee - Many recommendations concerned the construction of a court built around a fire pit or fire place near the tennis courts at Riverfield. This facility would include grills, tables and chairs, and possibly a bocce ball court or horse shoe pits. The fire court would also serve as an off-season social gathering point. The committee would develop an overall plan for the court including design, costs and a timeline.
If you are interested in becoming part of a committee, please respond to fieldsboard@fieldsclub.com. You may join as many committees as you would like. The first committee meetings will begin as soon as possible. We welcome and need your involvement.
